Does Tattoo Removal Really Work, or Does it Leave Marks?

The reasons for wanting a tattoo removal service vary from client to client. In our experience, most clients come to us with a tattoo that they no longer like or that has been executed poorly and that they want fully removing – which is why effective removal is so important. Typically, clients seeking this service are not looking to embed a wonky tattoo into another design but rather want to reverse the design and recreate the blank canvas of clear skin.

Because of this, understanding the process and its effectiveness is crucial. Keep reading for a full insight into tattoo removal and how effective it really is.

How Do We Remove Tattoos?

When we first stepped into the world of tattoo removal, we quickly realised how important quality is when it comes to both the equipment used and how the removal process is executed.

Far too many removal experts are using bad technology and ineffective lasers, which ultimately do more harm than good to the skin of clients.

At Tattoo Removal Experts, we have invested in the best technology to ensure efficient removal processes, in a way that protects the skin. Our Candela Picoway laser is the best on the market, transmitting ultra-fast bursts of light onto the skin which then break down the ink of the tattoo into smaller particles. These can be flushed from the system via natural bodily processes, following each session.

Ultimately and eventually, following a series of sessions (the number of which will depend on the ink used and the tattoo design), the tattoo fades to nothing.

What Affects the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Laser Tattoo Removal?

There are a couple of factors involved in the efficiency of tattoo removal – namely the type of laser used and the colour of the ink.

Lighter and paler colours tend to be the most difficult to remove and require more sessions. A cheaper laser will also be less effective, with an increased risk of the laser breaking the skin and causing scarring. This means that cheaper laser technology is more likely to leave marks, be it scarring or residue ink under the skin.

There are never any guarantees with tattoo removal, though here at Tattoo Removal Experts, we are confident in saying we expect to be able to remove at least 95% of any tattoo we see.

Choosing the Best Tattoo Removal Expert

All things considered, when it comes to tattoo removal, it’s important that you choose a service provider with expertise and experience, and access to the best equipment.

At Tattoo Removal Experts, we invite all our clients to a pre-removal consultation, where we can discuss with them the timeline and projected session quantity, as well as understand what they hope to get in terms of their end result. Every client is different, and it’s this consultation and personal approach that enables us to get to know every client and their needs.
